Grady County Opry
When: Saturday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m.
Where: Grady Co. Fairgrounds
Details: Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children age 7-12; under 7 free. Family of four pack $20. Call 405-320-0055 for more info. Concession will be available.
Young Democrats food drive
When: Now through Nov. 20
Where: High school back office or may be given to any Young Democrat.
Details: Especially needed are canned tuna, peanut butter, packages of macaroni and cheese, canned soup, dry cereal, and canned fruits and vegetables and other canned meats. Young Democrats officers are Levi Wood, president, Kyle Baker, V.P. and Becca Castleberry, secretary, Holly Swinford is the sponsor.
YMCA Youth Basketball registration
When: Now thru Nov. 20
Where: Chickasha area YMCA
Details: Boys and girls, ages 4-12 can register to play in the Y's basketball program. Registration deadline is the 20th. Please call 224-2281 for details.
NOVEMBER 21
Middleberg School Chili and Bingo night
When: 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21
Where: Middleberg School gymnasium
Details: After dinner, entertainment will be provided by the kindergarten class, with bingo and games to follow. Students have donated items for theme baskets which will be auctioned during the bingo games. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of Christmas sacks for each student at Middleberg School and for our older patrons and shut-ins.
Third Saturday Night Singing

Indian Taco & Bake Sale

Altrusa Hall of Trees

Verden Pentecostal Lighthouse
What: To celebrate its 100th birthday, the Verden Pentecostal Lighthouse is hosting a homecoming.
When: Services start at 10 a.m. Nov. 22
Details: Jeff Pierce will be the guest speaker. There will be a lunch following the morning services and an afternoon singing following the lunch.

Ninnekah Thanksgiving Dinner
What: A community Thanksgiving dinner has been planned for Ninnekah.
When: 5 p.m., Nov. 22
Where: Ninnekah School Cafeteria.
Details: Ninnekah Baptist Church and other community churches are joining together to host the event for the entire community. Main dishes will be provided. Community members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. The evening will include music, food, and fellowship. Transportation can be arranged for those who don't drive. Meals also can be delivered to homebound Ninnekah residents.

Details: The meal is open to the public and is free of charge. If you have no plans for lunch, please join us for Thanksgiving dinner.

Chickasha Deaf Chat Coffee
What: Social get-together
When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., every fourth Friday of each month, if there is a date conflict ; changes will be posted. The Nov. 27 meeting has been changed to Nov. 20, because of Thanksgiving.

Details: Hosted by Dewey C. Mosshart, IV. Deaf Chat Coffee is for anyone interested in meeting deaf people, improving their sign language, debating any subject or playing games. All are welcome.

Rush Springs Church of Christ
What: 100th birthday celebration
When: Bible study is at 9:45 a.m. The regular morning assembly will be at 10:30 a.m. At noon, there will be a lunch.
Details: Church members are encouraging all former members who have moved away to return for the celebration. The fellowship meal will be prepared by the men of the church. The women of the church will prepare desserts.

Something Worthwhile

Where: Epworth United Methodist Church, Life Center, Chickasha
Details: Following a home-cooked meal, Aiya Attaway, director of music ministries at Epworth UM Church, Chickasha, will present a beautiful musical program. Guests are asked to bring a wrapped Christmas ornament to exchange. Reservations are required and seating is limited. All reservations are made with Bobi at 320-0240. Reservations will be accepted until all tickets are sold or until the deadline of 3 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 27. The meal cost is $4, which can be paid at the door. Childcare is available when requested with one’s reservation. Each guest is asked to please honor her reservation, or if unable to attend, share it with a friend.

Relay for Life's 3rd annual
Survivor’s Christmas Tea
When: Friday, Dec. 4 , 6-8 pm
Where: Borden Community Center behind the Chickasha High School.
Details: We would like to invite all Cancer Survivors and their caretakers to join us for fellowship and to celebrate survivors during this most special time of the year. We will be serving appetizers, snacks, & desserts, along with drinks. We will also have a drawing for Christmas presents for our Survivors.
