Washita Valley Churndashers

• What: Charity quilt exhibit at OHCE Celebration of Crafts Show

• When: Nov. 13-14

• Where: Grady County Fairgrounds, north building

• Details: The Guild supports these community organizations with donated food and quilts:Southwest Youth & Family Center, Children First - Grady County, Sooner Start, Pregnancy Crisis Center, D.H.S and the Health Department. 

 



NOVEMBER 14



First Baptist Church

116th Anniversary Celebration

• When: Nov. 14, 6 p.m.

• Where: First Baptist Church, 102 Dakota, Chickasha

• Details: A musical with choirs from local churches as our guests.



New Home Full Gospel Church

• What: Second Saturday Night Singing

• When: 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14

• Where: 3/4 mile west of the Dibble crossroad

Pocasset

Senior Citizens Potluck

• When: Saturday, Nov. 14, noon- 4 p.m.

Pregnancy Guidance Center

• What: Moving & Surplus Sale

• Details: Lots of furniture & misc. All proceeds go to Pregnancy Testing & Guidance Center.



All Day Musicfest

• When: Nov. 14, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Where: Borden Park Community Center, 200 N. 18th St.

Grady Co. OHCE craft/quilt show

• When: Nov. 13-14, 2009

• Where: Grady Co, Fairgrounds, north building

• Details: There will be a viewer's choice award for a favorite quilt exhibit, and a viewer's choice award for the special exhibit quilt which is "wedding ring" quilts this year. The Churndasher Quilt Guild will also have a drawing for a raffle quilt at the close of the show, which will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday.



Top 10 Show Pig Sale

• When: November 14, 5 p.m.

• Where: Am-Po Show barn, Hwy. 92 & Main St. in Amber, got 2 blocks east and one block south.

LifeLine Hospice

Memorial Service

• When: Nov. 16, 2009 at 6 p.m.

• Where: USAO Chapel in Chickasha

“Living With Diabetes”

• When: Nov. 19, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

• Where: Grady Memorial Hospital First Floor Conference Room

• Details: Our Diabetes Information/Support Group, a service of Grady Memorial Hospital, is open and free to anyone in the community who is interested in learning more about diabetes and learning to live with diabetes. This month, the topic will be “Holiday Tips from ADA”, with Susan Hankins, RN, CDE . Call the Diabetes Center, 405-779-2130 for more information.

YMCA Basketball registration

• When: Now thru Nov. 20

• Where: Chickasha area YMCA

• Details: Boys and girls, ages 4-12 can register to play in the Y's basketball program. Registration deadline is the 20th. Please call 224-2281 for details.





NOVEMBER 21



Middleberg School

• What: Annual Chili/Bingo Supper

• When: 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21

• Where: Middleberg School gymnasium

• Details: Adults $4, children $2. The Kindergarten class will provide entertainment at 6:30 p.m. with bingo to follow. The price of bingo will be $1.00 per card.Theme baskets will be auctioned intermittently between bingo games.Proceeds are used to provide traditional Christmas sacks to our school children and elderly patrons of the Middleberg community.We hope you can join us for food and fun.



Altrusa Hall of Trees

• When: Nov. 21

• Where: USAO Ballroom

• Details: The Christmas gala, "A Glitzy Christmas," is the annual fundraiser of Altrusa. Funds will benefit the Food 4 Kids Project and the Women’s Resource Center. For tickets contact Sue Carter 222-0808 or 779-6940.

Ninnekah Thanksgiving Dinner

• What: A community Thanksgiving dinner has been planned for Ninnekah.

• When: 5 p.m., Nov. 22

• Where: Ninnekah School Cafeteria.

• Details: Ninnekah Baptist Church and other community churches are joining together to host the event for the entire community. Main dishes will be provided. Community members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. The evening will include music, food, and fellowship. Transportation can be arranged for those who don't drive. Meals also can be delivered to homebound Ninnekah residents.
