Christmas Queen pageant

Fall Craft Bazaar

CAAC meeting

• When: 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9

• Where: First National Bank Community Room

• Details: Major agenda items include a discussion of the 2010 Cemetery Tour, a report of the 2009 RIAF, plans for upcoming CAAC-sponsored workshops and discussion of CAAC's updated website. Those with comments on the 2009 RIAF and those with ideas about the 2010 festival are invited to attend. E-mails concerning the RIAF may be sent to rzhidov@mindspring.com. Retired Educators Association

Adult Learning Center

• What: Oklahoma high school diploma exam schedule

• When: Nov. 10 & 12, 2009

• Where: GED Test Site, Adult Learning Center, 628 Kansas Ave., Chickasha.

• Cost: $65 Test Fee; $40 Retest Fee. Everyone is required to call and reserve a testing date. A rescheduling fee of $25 will be added for those failing to give 24 hours cancellation notice.

• Details: Photo I.D. required to complete the application and each time to take the Exam. The Exam begins at 5:30 p.m. Apply in person at the Adult Learning Center or at one of the other class sites. GED Testing Accommodations are available. Ask us how we can help. Blood Drive

• Details: All donors will receive their choice of a free University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University blood donor T-shirt, along with free health screenings and Members for Life points to redeem at OBI’s online store.



NOVEMBER 11



Veterans Day Program & Meal

• What: A Veterans Memorial and Meal is planned for Nov. 11.

• When & Where: The memorial will be at 11 a.m. in Shannon Springs Park. The meal will be at 1 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Country Club Road.

• Details: Veterans and their spouses will eat free. Non-veterans will be charged $6 each to eat.



NOVEMBER 12



Lions Club music show

• What: The Plummer Family Country Music Show.

• When: Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 PM

• Where: Chickasha High School Activity Center auditorium.

• Details: Join us for a great evening of fun and family entertainment with the phenomenal Plummer Family of Branson, Missouri. This talented all-star cast of performers features traditional country & gospel music combined with outrageous comedy fun. The show is laced with zany comedy, jokes and silly stories. The Plummer Family performance in Chickasha is co-sponsored by Haystack Productions and the Chickasha Lions Club.

• Cost: Tickets are $12.50 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets for students 7 to 15 are just $5. Children under 6 are admitted free. Phone 580-252-5676 for tickets or more information.



UMC annual Fall Festival

• When: Thursday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

• Where: Epworth United Methodist Church

• Details: The annual lunch will be held will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will consist of chicken and rice, green beans, salad, bread, cake at a cost of $7.00. Come and shop at Granny's Attic and then shop booths for home baked goodies and miscellaneous items.

All Day Musicfest

• When: Nov. 14, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Where: Borden Park Community Center, 200 N. 18th St.

Grady Co. OHCE craft/quilt show

• When: Nov. 13-14, 2009

• Where: Grady Co, Fairgrounds, north building

• Details: There will be a viewer's choice award for a favorite quilt exhibit, and a viewer's choice award for the special exhibit quilt which is "wedding ring" quilts this year. The Churndasher Quilt Guild will also have a drawing for a raffle quilt at the close of the show, which will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday.



Top 10 Show Pig Sale

• When: November 14, 5 p.m.

• Where: Am-Po Show barn, Hwy. 92 & Main St. in Amber, got 2 blocks east and one block south.

LifeLine Hospice

Memorial Service

“Living With Diabetes”

• When: Nov. 19, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

• Where: Grady Memorial Hospital First Floor Conference Room

• Details: Our Diabetes Information/Support Group, a service of Grady Memorial Hospital, is open and free to anyone in the community who is interested in learning more about diabetes and learning to live with diabetes. Chickasha Deaf Chat Coffee

• What: Social get-together

• When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., every fourth Friday of each month, if there is a date conflict ; changes will be posted. The Nov. 27 meeting has been changed to Nov. 20, because of Thanksgiving.

• Details: Hosted by Dewey C. Mosshart, IV. Deaf Chat Coffee is for anyone interested in meeting deaf people, improving their sign language, debating any subject or playing games. All are welcome.

CHS Pom Chicks

• What: Enter for a chance to win prizes fromlocal merchants

• Details: Tickets are 1 for $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. Semi-finalists are drawn every home game. Winner of the trip will be announced at the last home game. All proceeds go to the Chickasha Pom Chicks. Winners must be present to win.



Adult Basic Education

• What: Free GED prep, adult basic education and family literacy classes

• When: Monday & Wednesday evenings, 5:30 - 8 p.m.

• Where: Chickasha Quality Academy, 102 N. 9th St.
