Lazy T annual poker run and bike rally

The fourth annual poker run and bike rally featuring seven card stud will take place on June 3 from noon until done in down town Ninnekah. Live band, Mike Black and the Stingray’s will be performing and BBQ brisket will be served for $5 a plate. Cost is $5 to attend the event without entering into the poker run. A prize of $300 will go to the high hand and $100 will go to the low hand. Cost to enter into the run is $20 a hand and $5 for each additional hands up to three. Prized will be awarded to best looking American bike, best looking metric bike, coolest crotch rocket, most comfortable touring bike. All bikes must participate in poker run to participate in contest. All proceeds will benefit the Ninnekah and Farwell Volunteer Fire Departments.

Indian Taco dinner set in Alex

There will be an Indian Taco Dinner from 10 a.m. - ? in Alex on June 10 during the town-wide garage sale. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Relay for Life.

The dinner will be held in the Alex Comunity Center.

OHCE Group sponsoring Bake and Garage Sale

The Ninnekah OHCE Club is holding a benefit bake and garage sale on Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3 at 2107 Lakewood Drive in the Harbors Addition west of 29th Street. The project benefits their scholarship program which this year donated $800 to four graduating seniors. Anyone wishing to donate items tot he garage sale can call 224-3094 by Tuesday, May 30 for pick up, and those wishing to place special baked goods orders should call 222-0994 by Tuesday evening. The event is done annually and all participation is greatly appreciated.
