Mike & Barbara Thomas

Wed on July 7, 1962

Dr. Mike and Barbara Thomas will be honored with a 50th Wedding Anniversary reception on Saturday, July 7 from 2-4 p.m at the Ninnekah Community Center, 512 Dell Street, Ninnekah.  The event will be hosted by their children, Michele Thomas Flanagan of Lawton, and Joe and Valerie Thomas of Gilbert, Ariz, and five grandchildren.

Mike Thomas, son of the late George W. and Valti Stringfield Thomas of Ninnekah and Barbara Smith, daughter of the late W.T. Bill and Rachel Hail Smith of Dibble were married on Saturday night, July 7, 1962 at the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha.

Having met while attending Oklahoma State, the couple returned to Stillwater.  Barbara finished a business degree and Mike attended veterinary school.  They later moved to Temple to practice.  

In the fall of 1981, they moved to Ninnekah.  Mike has spent 44 years in veterinary practice and Barbara in volunteering with 4-H and OHCE.

All friends and family are invited to celebrate this special occasion.  No  gifts please.  The gift of your presence will be greatly appreciated.  Casual dress.
