Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Morgan celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2007 with a family dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse Restaurant. Their children, Michael and Wanda Morgan of Roanoke, Texas, Sharon and Greg Ray of McLoud, Karen and Jim Monk of Norman, Lonnie and Mae Morgan of Chickasha and Larry and Kim Morgan of Choctaw hosted the anniversary dinner.
The couple were married on Nov. 12, 1947 in Chickasha and have made their home in Chickasha. Sam and Lillian met shortly after Sam returned from serving in the United States Army. Sam retired from Tinker AFB on Nov. 28, 1986 with 29 years of federal service. Lillian was employed by Bell Telephone and worked at the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in Chickasha until 1968 when she resigned her position to become a homemaker.
Sam and Lillian are members of Bible Baptist Church. They have five children, 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
